Requires past transgenic model (rodent) genotyping background to select, develop and implement assays to genotype transgenic mice for many projects supporting a wide assortment of research projects. Qualifications: *** Expertise to independently analyze and determine genotyping qualifications. *** Track record select and sourcing assays as well as developing new assays. *** Background evaluating and validating custom assays and new techniques. *** Desire to troubleshoot and improve current assay methods. Requires BS-MS level scientist generally educated in genotyping methods such as: restriction fragment length polymorphism identification; random amplified polymorphic detection; amplified fragment length polymorphism detection, polymerase chain reaction, DNA sequencing, allele specific oligonucleotide probes, and hybridization to DNA microarrays or beads.
