Alarm Service Technician - (Chesapeake, VA)

VSC Fire & Security, a leading fire protection and life safety system contractor, is seeking qualified candidates for an Alarms Service Technician for our Beta Systems office in Chesapeake. This position is responsible for service and construction project management (as needed) of fire alarm systems, security systems, as well as other types of low voltage systems. This position necessitates several years of background and knowledge related to service, installation and programming of fire alarm and security systems. Fire Alarm Applicants should have background with NFPA 72. Gamewell/FCI, Mircom, EST & Hochiki background is preferred. NICET Level I certification in Fire Alarm Systems is desired with the expertise to obtain NICET Level II certification within 2 years of employment. Security Applicants should have background with CCTV, both analog and IP, Access Control, Intrusion Detection and A/V Communication Systems. Must have intermediate knowledge of computer, networks and structured cabling.
