GENERAL FUNCTION: Function as an Academic Instructor in a classroom setting, providing instruction in skills necessary to master academic competencies. Provides engaging instruction, administers tests and evaluates progress in reading, writing, social studies, science and mathematics understanding and proficiency. Identify and use appropriate materials for the students being taught and the department goals established. REQUIREMENTS A Bachelor Degree and certified to teach in state in which center is located. A State Teacher Certificate is required in the State where the Job Corps Center is located. Concentration in Secondary or Adult Education is preferred.
