Fort Miller FAB3 Corp., a Fort Miller Group Company and a leading manufacturer of highway equipment and a wide array of metal fabrication products, has a rewarding opportunity for a Mechical Drafter who will work with SolidWorks to produce high-quality drawings and assemblies. Responsibilities of a Mechanical Drafter: Use SolidWorks to develop and maintain detailed drawings of all parts, weldments and assemblies. Use SolidWorks to prepare drawings from detailed notes and product specifications. Ensure the generation of accurate Bills of Materials and Work Orders. Recommend design modifications to improve and/or simplify finished product. Update and modify mechanical drawings in SolidWorks based on Engineering Change Requests submitted by production. Create nesting programs for laser and plasma cutters. Learn and apply proper weld, paint and material specifications and symbols. Requirements of a Mechanical Drafter: AAS in Mechanical Drafting or Design, or equivalent work background.
