Purchasing Assistant - (Griffin, GA)

Randstad is looking for an exceptional talent to fill an entry level position, with 2-3 years. background in Purchasing/Planning. This position is located in the Griffin area and is temp to hire. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -PROCUREMENTS 1) Enter purchase orders required by other departments 2) Control delivery date of the order for receiving by the required delivery date 3) Contacts carriers or appropriate person to arrange transportation of materials purchased 4) Verify quality and quantity of receiving materials by checking CoA, Packing slip and physical inspection 5) Collect packing slip or delivery note to verify receiving of ordered materials 6) Responsible for oversight of A/P and invoicing process for assigned materials -INVENTORY CONTROL 1) Maintain an adequate inventory of all plant supplies by taking daily and monthly inventories and ordering supplies based on the upcoming orders/usage patterns.
