Power Equipment Operator / NB50653236 - (Oak Ridge, TN)

Purpose: UT-Battalle, LLC has an opening for a Power Equipment Operator. In this role the incumbent, under limited supervision, perform tasks associated with this position for Oak Ridge National Laboratory, as well as other tasks as directed by management. Major Duties/Responsibilities: Under limited supervision, Power Equipment Operators operate all types of heavy lifting equipment and excavating/earthmoving equipment. Power Equipment Operator tasks include, but are not limited to: Operates load handling equipment for the purpose of lifting and transporting materials throughout ORNL in a safe and efficient manner Receives and understands proper hand signals or voice signals as directed by qualified signal person Comprehends crane load charts, safely drive mobile cranes and forklifts through congested areas and determine proper set-up for mobile cranes Abide by the principles of Safe Conduct of Research including being personally responsible for ensuring safe operations by raising safety concerns
