Underwriter HPP - (Windsor, CT)

The Hanover is seeking an Underwriter in our Accountants Professional Liability division to join our growing team. This person will be based our Windsor, CT office. Responsible for renewal retention of small and middle market business within Accountants Professional Liability team. Individual will underwrite renewal submissions, based on quality analysis and acting within the scope of their underwriting authority. Focus on building strong customer relationships. The underwriter is expected to develop and enhance underwriting skills, knowledge, and acumen under the direction of Sr. Account Executive, Team Lead or Manager. It is the expectation that incumbent's competencies will increase as time in role progresses. The underwriter will initially maintain a reduced book of business compared to Account Executive and Sr. Account Executive with book assignments increasing as development progresses.
