Handle medium to high volume moderate complexity general liability claims within commercial lines, including reinsurance and catastrophe claims. *** Investigate, research, and dispose of claims: assess and estimate damage, review and analyze various types of contracts & policies, and negotiate settlements. *** Complete full investigation of facts and damages relevant to claim. *** Interpret policy and contract language to evaluate coverage issues of multiple policies, contracts, and endorsements. *** Determine liability and evaluate damages of all exposures related to claim. Mitigate damages to achieve cost effective claims outcomes. *** Produce large loss reports with analysis of appropriate claim reserves. *** Apply case reserves; review reserves on assigned claim files, and recommend additional case reserves. *** Evaluate and negotiate resolution of claims. *** Initiate action for issues such as: suspected fraud, subrogation recovery, reserve adequacy, and underwriting risks.
