Battery Engineer Job - (Flint, MI)

Design and develop electrode materials, advanced lithium ion batteries, and battery systems for the transportation, electric grid services, and consumer markets. *** Lead cell design, development, analysis, and launch of cell products along with Advanced Product Quality Planning process. *** Design experiments to test new materials, oversee cell builds, evaluate results, and make recommendations for next steps of development. *** Validate and analyze lithium ion cell components, assemblies, specifications, and full suite of Phase Gate Processes. *** Assist with engineering level test builds at manufacturing facilities. *** Analyze and evaluate cell data to determine direct interaction effects of materials under evaluation. *** Identify short and longterm roadmap to achieve high performance and cost reduction goals for Li-Ion battery separators. *** Create plan and execute safety mechanism for cells using oxide chemistry.
