SPLICING/ SERVICE TECHNICIAN Hiawatha Telephone Company Munising, a locally-owned and operated telecommunications/ broadband company located in Munising, MI is accepting resumes from candidates who are qualified for the position of Splicing/Service Technician. Position duties are varied and will include a number of tasks related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and business communication systems. * The ideal candidate would have knowledge of telco/plant operations, IP technologies, fiber optic systems, and subscriber and carrier trunk systems. Utility construction and/or electrical technology experience/training preferred; however, will train a person who has the expertise, aptitude, and desire to learn the profession. * Expertise to splice copper and fiber cables, experience in utility locating, and/or experience with LAN/Ethernet wiring a plus. Must work well with others and possess customer service skills and the expertise to effectively use a computer and related software.
