Security Officer-full-time Nights Job - (Salem, MA)

Reporting to the Security Supervisor, the Officer performs duties as assigned to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, employees and assets on property owned or controlled by the North Shore Medical Center. Experience required: Should be familiar with regulations, basic enforcement statutes and civil code. Good communication and de-escalation skills. Expertise to build rapport with others. Able to assist lifting patients. Able to stand/walk for extended periods of time. Able to physically restrain out of control individuals. Basic technical skills which may be obtained thru on the job training. The following certifications will be required (and provided by department) within the 1st 6-12 mnths of employment: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification, Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation Certification,Defibrillation Certification. High-school education or equivalent required.
