Requisition 7661: z/OS Mainframe Network Systems Admin/Programmer Job overview Education: 4-year College diploma preferably Details Systems or Computer Science Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) not required but a plus. Responsibilities Configure, maintain, & support mission critical mainframe network infrastructure consisting of TCPIP, VTAM, telnet, and FTP. Troubleshoot and diagnose communication issues both within the mainframe and between the mainframe and the corporate network Monitor and manage mainframe network performance Define and activate mainframe printer definitions Support Network team during corporate network changes Troubleshoot TN3270/printer connectivity issues Use network monitor tools to manage and diagnose mainframe network resources including IP trace Install, upgrade, and maintain monitoring tools and software applications supported by the group. Provide 24x7 on-call network support including daily monitoring of problem management ticket queue for reports of service issues.
