Production Supervisor-2nd Shift - (Elgin, IL)

Overview The production supervisor is responsible for managing production operations and staff. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for supervision of production operations, personnel, and safety for a specific area/lines. Ensures SQF code is followed. Hires, supervises, trains, and evaluates employees. Responsible for implementing the production schedule. Supports and participates in continuous improvement initiatives. Communicates and coordinates activities with other shift supervisory staff and operations manager ensuring smooth production work transitions. Actively monitors documents (work orders, pre-ops, etc.) and work to improve production issues facility wide. Provides input in resolving maintenance issues. Makes proactive recommendations and offers solutions to the Production Manager to improve output and efficiencies. Assist with audits as needed.
