Director of Economic Development - (Charlottesville, VA)

The Director of Economic Development will work with internal and external partners to develop and implement a strategy related to the University's focus areas in economic development: 1. Support economic development partners' efforts to recruit and retain companies in Virginia; 2. Fuel growth through innovation, entrepreneurship, and research; 3. Provide workforce with skills needed by industry. The Director of Economic Development is a key figure on the University's economic development team. The Director provides leadership during the identification, coordination, direction, and implementation of economic development initiatives across the University. The Director represents the University to internal and external constituencies in economic development-related discussions.
