Research Coordinator - (New Brunswick, NJ)

Rutgers New Jersey Medical School is seeking a Research Coordinator for the Department of Neurological Surgery. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, Dr. Robert F. Heary, the Research Coordinator oversees protocols for clinical trials. Provides professional support and direction as well as administrative oversight to spine research programs for the Spine Center. Plans, organizes, coordinates and directs day to day activities related to the clinical research and basic science research programs. Provides fiscal oversight of study funds. Coordinates and administers protocols for clinical trials and screens patients for eligibility. Obtains medical history from patient at study visits. Also obtains vital signs, gets information on concurrent medications, & obtains history of other medical conditions. Dispenses study meds & reports serious adverse effects (SAEs) to Institutional Review Board (IRB) & study sponsor.
