Job DescriptionJob location - Dawsonville, GA DUTIES: Plan and direct all aspects of mechanical engineering activities within the MESH organization. Position currently has thirteen direct reports. Ensures all mechanical engineering projects, initiatives and processes are in conformance with the organization’s established standards, policies and objectives. Develops and maintains equipment design standards, improves standard product designs measured against performance and cost. Oversees the design of machinery products for advanced automated manufacturing equipment. Control costs with the mechanical engineering department.This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.CRITERIA: This job necessitates a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and/or 10yrs of background in the field of machine design and project management. Considered very strong in machine design concepts in the field of automation. Robotic background with ABB, Fanuc and/or Yasakawa is a plus.
