Correctional Officer - (Shawano, WI)

Description Benefits Supplemental Questions Under supervision, the Correctional Officer performs work involving the care and custody of inmates in the County detention facility in accordance with prescribed regulations, DOC standards, ordinance and law. Further, this position performs other duties as required by their immediate supervisors and above. The County will be creating an eligibility listing from this recruitment for future openings for Correctional Officers. Supplemental Questions must be completed. Failure to do so will result in non-consideration for this position. Work schedule consists of 12-hour shifts, 2-2-3 rotation, 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. Example of Duties: Maintains safety and security throughout the entire facility. Supervises and care for inmates of the County Jail within established policies and procedures. Assist and "set-up" video court process. Maintain certification and attend and/or participate in all training activities.
