Supervising Microbiologist (Multiple Positions) - (New Brunswick, NJ)

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Supervising Microbiologist for the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine department at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. The primary purpose of the Supervising Microbiologist is to conduct standard and developmental microbiologic and serologic tests and analyses related to specific routine functions and prepares reports. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Supervises the determination and interpretation of test results, and the preparation and issuance of reports. Conducts standardized non-routine and diagnostic microbiologic and serologic tests on submitted materials and specimens. Assists in conducting research on microbiological and related problems. Acts as an expert witness for the state concerning laboratory tests and analyses performed and is responsible for, in court. Assigns and directs the work of at least 1 unit within the laboratory; monitors work for accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
