Residential Mortgage, HELOC & Consumer Loan Underwriter - (Seneca Falls, NY)

Purpose of Position : Underwrite requests within Bank and regulatory requirements for Residential Mortgages, HELOCs and Consumer loan products. Complete underwritings, reaching an approval, declined, withdrawn or counter offer decision. Complete or assist in completing departmental reports. Backup Underwriting Manager on certain functions as needed. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Receives and reviews loan applications/files from the loan processor. Ensures package is complete, all regulatory and bank requirements have been met to this point. If package is incomplete, notifies the processor and bank sponsor of what is needed and that the application can not move forward until same is received. Returns the application and package to the loan processor for applicable follow-up. Underwrites the loan request verifying and addressing all applicable underwriting standards and requirements.
