Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMetal Shredder Operator reports directly to the Yard Manager. The Shredder Operator is responsible for efficiently operating the facility's main Shredding Equipment, and must stay in frequent communication with the Shredder Maintenance staff regarding all repair and maintenance problems. Shredder Operator must maintain a safe workplace environment and comply with company safety policies / procedures.Critical functions Safety- Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures. Ensures safe work practices and equipment are used at all times and that documentation, inspections, and current practices are in accordance with corporate safety policies. Provides leadership to support staff / train as needed Operate Shredder according to manufacturer's instructions to maintain efficiency and the longevity of the shredding equipment Learn and master all aspects of operating new and updated equipment Reviews repair and maintenance needs with the Yard Manager and Shredder Maintenance.
