Fleet Mechanic - (Grand Rapids, MI)

SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions (MBS) is seeking a Fleet Mechanic for a distribution company in Grand Rapids, MI. This individual will be responsible for maintaining company vehicles and fleet equipment including semis, trucks, hi lo's, and cars. The perfect candidate must be able to operate under minimal supervision and make routine and non-routine choices within established guidelines. RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspect vehicles and provide preventative maintenance if needed Repair, rebuild, and diagnose vehicles Conduct road service repairs as needed Maintain sufficient parts inventory Prepare and maintain records and reports Maintain all certifications required by DOT Comply with all federal, state, and local driving laws and DOT and FMCSA regulations and comply with OSHA regulations and safety policies/procedures. Organization and maintain the shop Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers REQUIREMENTS: High-school certificate or equivalent required
