Rail Service Technician - (Kansas City, MO)

SUMMARY Most important role is to perform quality service work for railroad vehicles. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Assignments include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reads work order. Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, by Custom Truck and factory standards. Cleans and properly equips assigned area to perform all necessary work. Fabricates special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to blueprints or schematic drawings. Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts. Documents work performed. Track-test and road-test vehicles when required. Uses and maintains all necessary shop and personal equipment required to complete any repairs or inspections. Keeps shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all Custom Truck tools at all times. Ensures that customers' trucks and equipment are kept clean. Attends factory-sponsored training classes.
