The Medical Technologist performs a wide spectrum of laboratory tests (biological, microbiological, serological, chemical, immunhematological, biophysical, cytological, pathological or other examination of materials derived from the human body for the purpose of providing info for the diagnosis, prevention or treatment of any disease or impairment of the assessment of the health of human beings) in the clinical laboratory. Job tasks may include specimen processing, laboratory test performance, or laboratory test reporting and other tasks requiring broad exercise of judgment and responsibility. Expertise to perform job duties with little direct supervision.
