Quality Control Technician - (Washburn, IL)

Quality Control Technician Full-time ALVAR, Inc., a growing specialty chemical manufacturer, has a full-time opening for a Quality Control Technician. Candidate must be able to work any shift. This position is responsible for the quality control and testing of new and existing products associated with the coatings industry. Applicants will perform quality control tests, assist in laboratory procedures, manage the daily production schedule, regulatory emphasis, and must be willing to assist in production when needed. Candidates who are qualified must possess: At least a two year associates degree with an emphasis on Biology and Chemistry. BS degree in Biology or Chemistry. MT or similar degreed applicants are welcome to apply. Quality Control background is a plus. Statistics is a plus. Background with environmental regulations and GHS implementation is a plus. Must be able to complete projects and tasks according to deadlines.
