Admissions Representative DescriptionER Admissions Reps are responsible for the efficient registration of patients, while providing excellent customer service. ER Reps will frequently work under pressure, requiring flexibility and teamwork. ER Reps will also work with patients at the bedside, requiring the expertise to be around patients with serious illness and/or medical conditions. Specific assignments include: obtaining demographic & insurance details; collecting co-pays, deposits & deductibles at point of service; identifying patients with limited financial resources offering assistance & direction in making financial arrangements.Qualifications- HS diploma or equivalent- one year clerical and customer service experience; previous healthcare experience desired- Strong data entry skills, numerical aptitude, and critical thinking skills- Good communication and customer service skills- Must be self-directed & have good management skills
