Quality Assurance Investigator - (Baltimore, MD)

Quality Assurance Investigator Perform work as an employer consultant with regard to the Maryland Unemployment Insurance (UI) Program. Duties will include auditing of employer records to verify and ensure appropriate reporting and paying of UI tax and compliance with UI statutory and procedural requirements, collection of past due taxes, identification and registration of employers subject to UI liability, investigation of UI claims for accuracy of benefit payments and conducting special investigation to review potential fraud cases involving receipt of UI benefits by claimant and/or employer misrepresentation. Duties will also include educating employers on the requirements of the UI program by means of group presentations or individual contacts, promoting voluntary compliance with UI law, and working with employers in the areas of risk management and containment of the UI tax costs. Understanding and promoting other Job Service programs will also be an important job function.
