Job DescriptionContract manufacturer is seeking an Buyer/Planner position which requires a person that has initiative, is a team member and can multitask.Job qualifications:• Under direction, plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors products through complete production cycle. Works closely with engineering to support production schedules, labor loading and capacity qualifications.• Coordinates production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules.• Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning and engineering departments to acquire material in a cost effective and timely manner. Develops and maintains detailed schedules, production plans and material qualifications lists in accordance with the Master Production Schedule, for products, proposal efforts and/or production processes. Coordinates Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Material Control, Quality and other departments to achieve optimum utilization of facilities in meeting production schedules.
