Buyer - (Monroe, NC)

The Buyer places and authorizes purchase orders within assigned limits. Expedites orders, tracks deliveries, resolves shipping errors, and maintains accurate records following established guidelines. Looking for a buyer for the centralized import team. Will use MRP system to generate buy reports, build containers using current tools, and issue purchase orders while being part of the import team. Detailed Description - Strong analytical skills - Strong negotiation skills - May negotiate materials, equipment and supplies from suppliers. - Strong technical skills, including purchasing and inventory management systems, programs and reports - Knowledge of industry including suppliers, customers, and competitors - Review all unit of measure problems.
