The Underwriter assesses risk and develops account specific rates for all products and funding arrangements using sound financial judgment, established underwriting guidelines, and approved levels of authority.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Communicates rates to Sales and conducts customer negotiations directly with employer groups, brokers, and consultants; ensures quotes are delivered to Sales accurately and in a timely manner. Manages the profitability and pricing integrity of assigned new business accounts and retention of assigned book of business.
