Education / Teaching: SEIT Position (Special Education Itinerant Teacher) - - (Newark, NJ)

MPC in New York City is seeking early childhood special education teachers to work as SEIT teachers. Both full time and part-time positions are available. New teachers will receive competitive hourly rate and exceptional mentorship. SEITs work with pre-school aged children in their general/inclusive education classrooms or home in collaboration with their guardians and teachers to help students meet their IEP goals. Their IEP goals often target their social, emotional, cognitive, behavioral, and adaptive challenges. Students are approved for a specific amount of hours of SEIT services a week, anywhere from 2-25 hours. We have opportunities for part-time and full time teachers. The nature of SEIT service creates an opportunity for teachers to be flexible with their own schedules by taking on SEIT cases with hours that work for them. We provide services in all five boroughs in New York City, so location is flexible as well.
