ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN / SENIOR ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN The City of Hugo, (pop. 15,000), a rapidly growing community in the northeast Twin Cities Metropolitan Area, is seeking a hardworking and energetic Engineering Technician. This position involves participation in all engineering work relating to the City of Hugo and is responsible for coordinating construction projects, performing site inspections, and ensuring that all public improvements are completed and meet city requirements. Min requirements include: high-school graduation or GED, 2 year degree in civil engineering technology or 2yrs of municipal engineering and inspection background. Applicants with at least 6yrs of progressively responsible engineering background, and 3 years municipal engineering background may qualify as a Senior Engineering Technician. Training will be provided to help fulfill required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Expertise to use GIS software is a plus.
