Job DescriptionQUALIFICATIONS:Currently eligible to be licensed as a dietitian in the state of AZ as a nutritionist. Must possess good communication abilities. Dietary counseling may be provided to family members to enable them to prepare food for the patient and to hospice patients who background unmet nutritional needs. Understands and accepts the hospice philosophy of care. Background counseling patients/caregivers. REPORT TO: Patient Care DirectorKnowledge and Competency:Must demonstrate basic knowledge of all procedures included in the job details. Expertise to communicate effectively with managers, patients, families and co-workers. Must have the expertise to effectively cope with patients, families and all others with varying backgrounds, socioeconomic conditions, and value judgments. Maintains confidentiality of details relating to the patient and family. Will discuss only those aspects necessary to the care and treatment of patient and family with those directly involved in the patient’s care.
