Job DescriptionEfficiently receives and organizes patient specimens for pathological assessment. Adequately facilitates screening process for histology technicians. Performs daily maintenance of the lab in keeping with standards provided by proper authorities.Efficiently separates specimens promptly and accurately, as soon as they arrive in the morning. Then is prepared for punctual and exact in the organization of the log specimens. Accessions and presents the delivered specimens into Orchard / Novo Path Software for accessibility within a computer application. Accurately gross surgical specimens. Contributes in the cytology slide prep and the clean-up of tools, equipment or surfaces that may have been contaminated. Adequately contributes to making and providing the daily required surgical and cytology slides. Maintains lab supply stock and prepares the needed and requested supplies for clinics. Organizes patient slides for long-term storage and preservation. Attach pathology report to patient EHR.
