Genotype Assay Design Specialist Job - (St Louis, MO)

Shall be selecting, developing and implementing assays to genotype transgenic rodents to support custom research projects. Responsibilities: *** Analyze genotyping qualifications *** Select and source assays as well as develop new assays *** Extraction and amplification of DNA from animal tissues *** Primer design and selection *** Single Nucleotide polymorphism identification *** DNA sequencing *** Evaluate and validate new techniques *** Troubleshoot and improve current assay methods Requires BS level scientist generally educated in genotyping methods such as: restriction fragment length polymorphism identification; random amplified polymorphic detection; amplified fragment length polymorphism detection, polymerase chain reaction(PCR), and DNA sequencing.
