Parker Jewish Institute, located in New Hyde Park, NY is seeking a Full-time Education and Training Specialis t under the Alzheimer Caregiver Support Initiative. Position description: Reporting to the Senior Vice President for Research and Grants, the Education and Training Specialist provides support, info and guidance to caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer's disease and dementias, helping to provide a safe, comfortable and engaging environment where people with memory loss and their care partners can laugh, learn and remain socially engaged with others travelling the same journey. Assignments include: Implement innovative caregiver support services, including support groups, education and training programs, caregiver wellness programs, joint enrichment opportunities in relation to this program Responsible for liaising with relevant community=based organizations in the area in relation to this program Assist clients in assessing their info and support needs
