Job overview Job Summary Working under moderate supervision, this position is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing all strategic purchasing activities in support of development, service, manufacturing, and sales goals and objectives, based on Business system output. Principle Responsibilities & Duties - Lead all procurement related activates towards the goal of partnering with suppliers that will provide the best overall value to the business within the departmental objectives. This may include development of goals, fact-finding, terms and conditions negotiation, and administration of subsequent agreements. - Lead and execute supply chain activities supporting the manufacturing build strategy to enhance flexibility, reduce cycle time, and maximize company revenue. - Acts as lead contact and liaison for non-production procurement process within IBM???s procurement system, BOND. - Identifies, communicates, and acts on process improvements in the work process for customers and peers.
