Profile Summary Under direct supervision underwrites basic group insurance applications within strict guidelines set for the issuance of policies on a standard or substandard basis. Has authority to approve cases up to 1,000 lives. Profile Description Evaluate risk for group insurance products. Analyze data such as financial condition of the client company, characteristics of employee groups, participation percentage, type of industry, or past claim background to determine benefits and rates. Ensure the company can administer the client's proposed benefit plan design and funding method. Develop and maintains relationships with field personnel and clients by answering general questions and obtaining info on which to base decisions. Explain and defend underwriting courses of action.
