Biologist - Ecologist - Utility Forester Planner Non-Union - (Fort Wayne, IN)

We are currently seeking a Utility Arborist/Work Planner to join our team. Location: Fort Wayne, IN Type of Positions: Full-time/Permanent Pay level: Starting at over $15.50/hr. (Min 40hr/week) Benefits: Health benefits and 401k available Company vehicle Responsibilities: Survey vegetative condition of utility right of ways and identify the work necessary to clear them to the utility provider's standard. Communicate utility's vegetation management plan to customers. Counsel customers about compatible plant species to place near power lines. Input planned work into GIS based software Perform various duties assigned by utility foresters. Assist with storm damage assessment. Requirements: Valid Driver's license. Bachelor's degree in Forestry/Natural Resources related position required. Strong knowledge of woody plant species, including but not limited to, expertise to identify and knowledge of growth characteristics. Expertise to work outside in a safe, productive manner in all weather conditions.
