Endangered Species Database & Field Biologist-Fort Polk, LA - (Fort Collins, CO)

The Endangered Species Database and Field Biologist supports the Endangered Species program at Fort Polk - Joint Readiness Training Center in Leesville, Louisiana. They will work with the Conservation Branch to implement management guidelines of the Endangered Species Management Plan. Responsibilities include data collection, transcription, and entering of field data into a database and applying the data to generate graphs, charts, reports, and presentations as necessary. Field work will involve surveys for monitoring and management of endangered species that will include, but not be limited to, climbing nest trees to capture and band Red-Cockaded Woodpecker adults, nestlings, and juveniles.
