LTE Wildlife Biologist-Elk Management Program - (Madison, WI)
This position serves as the assistant deer ecologist in the Bureau of Wildlife Management under the supervision of the Big Game Section Chief. This position works directly with the Deer and Elk Ecologist and coordinates and collaborates with other staff including the Administrative Code Specialist, Licensing and Law Enforcement staff, and Research staff to accomplish deer management program objectives. This job necessitates knowledge of deer population biology, deer harvest management alternatives, deer population modeling, hunting traditions, hunter behavior, and deer hunting interest groups, Chippewa Treaty Rights, deer harvest management statutes and administrative code, deer survey techniques, data base management and analysis, and technical report writing procedures.
