Senior Accountant - (Charlottesville, VA)

WorldStrides is seeking a Senior Accountant to become an integral part of the Finance team by preparing JEs and related materials for the month-end and year-end closes, creating timely and accurate accounting reporting, compiling management reports, providing variance analyses and serving as a resource for both accounting and general management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary Functions: Monthly closing process Prepare journal entries Understanding of event costs Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis Perform bank account reconciliations Variance analyses as needed Ad hoc microsoft excel spreadsheet preparation Provide process improvements through automation of manual processes Additional Responsibilities Work extended hours
