Nurse Director of Professional Practice - (Oceanside, NY)

A midsize teaching hospital in the Queens region of the New York metropolitan area is currently looking for a Director of Nursing Education. This is an award-winning hospital that is poised for much growth and opportunity over the next ten years. They were a recipient of the IPRO Award for commitment to improving quality of care and are consistently recognized for treatment of stroke and cardiac patients. They are a Trauma Center, Designated Stroke Center and a Certified Emergency Heart Care Station. As the Director of Nursing Education, you will be responsible for overall education, policies, procedures, training, and initiatives for the entire facility. Multiple years of background in Nursing Education is important in order to be successful in this role. The Director of Nursing Education will report to VP of Operations/Chief Nursing Executive and direct and develop the facilities programs, polices, projects and be responsible for all continuing-ed.
