Software engineers interact with marketing personnel to agree upon specifications and development timelines for new products. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 65% Design and implement software for an approved and assigned project or investigation which may target a new product or alternatively a major re-release of an existing product. 20% Maintain existing software by performing necessary bug-fixes etc. 10% Interact with marketing personal to assist in determining the viability of new products and improvements to current products. 5% Improve skills through self-study and/or short course attendance.
