Senior Underwriter - Employee Medical Benefits - (Athens, GA)

Identify, review, evaluate, and price risk for clients and prospects, and provide support and direction to account teams regarding short and longterm planning, strategy, and approach. Responsibilities: Review, collect, and analyze client specific details including financial condition, employee demographics, and previous claim background to determine risk, potential benefit features, and premium equivalent rates for self-funded groups. Assist review of client specific underwriting and renewal negotiations on fully-insured groups. Model plan designs using carrier provided or actuarial developed increments or decrements. Negotiate benefit plan designs and financial assumptions with client service team on new and renewal business.
