Truck Mechanic - (Tampa, FL)

Summary: Primary role is to perform vehicle troubleshooting, repair and maintenance work on heavy duty diesel trucks or equipment in accordance with dealer and factory standards, and to perform the following duties. Essential Duties and Assignments include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reports to Shop Manager, who will provide brief description of issues and supporting info related to the vehicle. Read and interpret equipment manuals and repair orders/instructions to perform required maintenance and service. (Must have the expertise to utilize laptop, etc. to be able to access needed info and perform diagnostic tests as needed.) Performs work as outlined in work instructions set forth by Shop Manager; efficiently, accurately, and in accordance to Utility 1 Source standards. Inspects and services vehicles and makes repairs and adjustments. Perform Class eight Heavy Truck Repair and DOT Inspections. Verify work performed, road test vehicles as necessary.
