Bend Operator - (Troutdale, OR)

This position performs all functions of tube bending ensuring safety, quality and productivity. Essential Job Functions Follow TSCO standards, policies and objectives. Set up, adjust and operate tube bending machinery and equipment to bend structural metal pipe, tube, bar, etc. to specifications. Fabricate directly from drawings, samples, or instructions without supervision. Expertise to bend unfamiliar parts using only a full scale, without a POD sheet. Expertise to use both manual and CNC benders. Inspect finished product to ensure accuracy. Communicate with other departments as necessary. Maintains general housekeeping for work area. Knowledge, skills and abilities required Knowledge of bending equipment and expertise to adjust and solve problems as needed. Outstanding communication expertise, both verbal and written. Expertise to do basic math, including decimals and percentages. Must be able to complete tooling changes and start-up and shut-down of machines.
