Systems Programmer for Vision Research Core - (New Haven, CT)

The position designs, implements, supports, and tests real-time research applications and hardware. The Systems Programmer will report to the Principal Investigators (PIs) maintaining broad latitude for professional discretion and judgment in technical/scientific capacity. Participate as a professional member spanning several research teams in vision science contributing a high-level of technical ability for independently designing, implementing, and supporting software and hardware solutions to complex scientific problems. Develop and maintain cutting-edge research software systems while continuously contributing to strategic research planning and technical issue solving through the full life-cycle of multiple research projects. You will be working in MATLAB, as well as JavaScript, Python and/or C++ as an architect and engineer, bringing a highly anticipated advanced research framework into maturity. Responsibilities may include maintaining the IT infrastructure that keeps several labs running.
