Job Info Job description: Perform duties of a broad scope to analyze, install, evaluate, inspect, maintain, and repair sophisticated patient care systems or devices. Position qualifications: High-school degree. Min education and background qualifications: Associate Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or equivalent. 5 (5) or more years' background in a health care institution or clinical engineering program repairing complex patient care devices. -or- 7 (7) or more years of biomedical engineering background repairing complex patient care devices in healthcare institution or clinical engineering program. (DESIREABLE) AAMI Certification. Practical application of mathematical skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, algebra, and geometry. Draw and interpret graphs and tables. Expertise to read literature, scientific and technical journals, safety rules, and instructions used in the use and maintenance of test equipment and patient care equipment.
