Position details: Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking an experienced RD Diabetes Educator to work full-time. Qualifications include Bachelor's Level Degree - DIETETICS, Registered, and 3 years of work exp in that field. Plans and coordinates education and care of patients/persons with diabetes across a continuum in collaboration with other disciplines, community agencies and Sentara subsidiaries. Provides staff education, educates/counsels patients to promote wellness and prevention of complications in persons with diabetes. Serves as a clinical resource person for the clinical staff serving the inpatient population.
