Position summary Position title: Research Assistant III Job ID: 661078 Status: Full time Regular/Temporary: Regular Hours: Shift: Facility: Western Psychiatric Institute & Clinic Department: Phillips Program Funds Location: 121 Meyran Avenue, Pittsburgh PA 15260 Description Dr. Versace and her research team are focused on the identification of neural mechanisms that can explain the development of emotional dysregulation symptoms in at-risk populations. Dr. Versace has been recently founded to identify these mechanisms in youth (14-17.11 y/o) with a recent mild traumatic brain injury. Youth will undergo a neuroimaging protocol one week after injury. Subsequently, youth will be clinically follow-up up to 1-year (at 3 weeks, at 3 mons, at six months and 1-year) to define trajectories of psychiatric symptoms, such as depression, anxiety, and irritability. The identification of abnormalities in emotional regulation circuitry will help predict the onset of psychiatric symptoms following mild traumatic brain injury.
